These 3 soldiers were in a mortar carrying APC on the night of 30th May 1969 at THua Thic when a very successful ambush was carried out. They fired in support of a large section of the 2nd D&E platoon who were in the listening post some 500 yds from the main killing group. I am compling a list of those photographed the morning after by an army photographer Chris Bellis who flew in the next morning on the resupply and who stayed with the group as we made our way back to Xuyen MOc and photographed the live action when our column was caught in an attempted ambush.
