hello
i am writting to find out if 5 RAR mortars back in the vietnam era had an official or unofficial quote or saying that they were know for.
for example, i think 1 RAR had death from above
2 RAR had dealers in death etc etc.
reason being i am currently the PL SGT of Mortars 5 RAR and we want to design a PL PT shirt with a remark or quote that was maybe used back in them days.
anyones help would be greatful.

I checked with OC and 2IC Mortars from Vietnam 1966-67 and they had no specific logo or quote. The 2IC did jokingly comment that he thought that they were too busy fighting 'em to serenade them!!

Mortars is a great trade. After 5RAR I had two years with 1RAR mortars.
