Paul Monaghan was a National Service reinforcement who joined 5RAR in Vietnam in May 1969 and completed the tour with the battalion. Before joining the battalion he spent a few weeks with 1st Australian Reinforcement Unit at Nui Dat. In 5RAR he served with 8 Pl C Coy. He RTA’d with the 5RAR advance party arriving back in Australia on 18 Feb 1970.

One other detail- he was wounded in action during his time with C Company. I don't have detail of that though.
