They gave perfect ratings to both albums, and also to Joanna Newsom, thats why i expected a higher placement, but top 20 and making the Q list (Ys didnt back in 2006) is cool.

Fabulous for John Grant -- a gorgeous album, well-deserving of the top rank. Also great to see Doug Paisley at #10.
Q: where are Robyn, Sleigh Bells, Perfume Genius and Twin Shadow?
well for me personally I'm a huge fan of both britpop and shoegaze but I'd wouldn't even rank Blur or MBV amongst my top 10 favorite britpop and shoegaze bands. It's still odd to see them omitted while Tom Petty, Janet Jackson and the Stones are included.
