1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 4:7-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing

Giraffe kisses dying zoo worker final goodbye
Re: Giraffe kisses dying zoo worker final goodbye

Steve O. Thanks for posting such a great story. I enjoyed reading it so much.

The giraffes this man took care of by cleaning for them every day became part of his family. Our pets are the same way. God created them to love unconditionally. We as humans could learn some things from them.

Maranatha and God bless,

Julie

Re: Giraffe kisses dying zoo worker final goodbye

Thanks Steve, Such a touching goodbye kiss, and they say elephants never forget. I believe many animals never forget, even a giraffe, remembered this man who has looked after it and the others, day after day for years.

I agree Julie, animals do become part of our family especially, if we take care of them on a daily basis. There is an undeniable bond, and separation in death, can be both difficult for a person, or an animal. They become attached to us just as much as we do to them as they become part of our lives. This is the reason I have always believed, that God allows our pets in heaven as well, because God will give us the desires of our heart. For eye has not seen nor ear has not heard the things the Lord has prepared for those who love Him.

Looking for that reunion with loved ones that have passed as well as our loved
pets, who are eagerly awaiting to meet us again as well.

God Bless,

Valerie
