ever since i was a schoolboy in the 70's successive governments have had the chance to invest in renewable energy.

because we are an island nation, wind, wave and tidal energy would be our best bet instead of depending on other countries/regimes.

we have had the basic technology for these ways for over 35 years or longer, yet it is only now we are developing some of these? how much money has been wasted instead of being the world leaders instead of the also ran's??
