Hi All, I know there are plenty of B33 owners and people with good knowledge of them on this forum so I have a question for you.
I have a set of matching crankcases with ZB33 A 5*** which makes it 1950 but does the A mean it was an alloy barrel and head model? I know some came out with them but I cant find any info about it.
thanks in advance
Coincidentally I was at a friends workshop yesterday and he also has a set of B33 A cases. I never knew they existed? Why have B33 and B34 Alloy motors??
I had a set of low-number ZB33A cases I bought on US eBay 5 yrs ago. After much thought and research I concluded that the fret marks on the mouth were indeed from an alloy barrel. As far as the number goes, I think it was a simple numbering error not to strike it as ZB34.
