I can't find it, but I recall a discussion on this forum that the case breather isn't actually meant to oil the rear chain. Is that correct? Mine is currently setup to discharge right on top of the chain (resulting in a bit of regular oil splatter that I could live without). Is there a preferred or correct location for the breather to discharge? If I'm going to move it, I'd prefer to put it somewhere it's meant to go Thanks!
Hi Craig...The breather pipe should run down behind the clutch casing where it is clipped (with a metal 'P' clip) to the rear engine plate. You should see the hole through the plate, just in front of the rear mudguard, that takes the bolt that attaches the clip. The pipe then just pokes out by the frame rail and lubricates the road..Ian
Ahhh, I see it. Thanks Ian! Wow, that's a much longer pipe run than I expected. Ah well, easy fix. Though I wonder why people seem to incorrectly run these to the chain! Thanks again-
