Re: top 10

yes, i remember saying that i don't understand jazz. in fact, i would probably still say that. i don't know why bitches brew is an exception. i was amazed by it from the very start. i think i also understand kind of blue, but it doesn't get to me in the same way... we'll see i guess. like i mentioned in another topic, i'm only young and i've been interested in music for a very short time. that might be why i find it so difficult to make a top 10 list... i just haven't been exposed to anything for long enough. those first two albums are locked in the top 10 though. i can't see that changing.

Re: top 10

I can't really rate my favorite albums, they're all under the same category as my all-time favorites.

So, in no particular order;

Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
Mariah Carey - Butterfly
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions, Songs In The Key of Life
Alanis Morissette - Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie

That's it. Only 6. Those are albums that I feel very close to. I have some other favorites but I don't consider them "special" to me.

Re: top 10

Is there going to be a top 100 albums poll this christmas... that was quite the holiday treat last year I would do it but I am pretty inept and some of the experts on the site seem to be pros.

Re: top 10

1. Radiohead: OK Computer
2. The Beatles: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
3. Bob Dylan: Blonde on Blonde
4. The Beach Boys: Pet Sounds
5. Marvin Gaye: What's Going On
6. Radiohead: Kid A
7. The Beatles: White Album
8. Sufjan Stevens: Illinoise!
9. The Beatles: Revolver
10. Bob Dylan: Highway 61 Revisited
