Awesome. Some truly excellent pieces there that I'd overlooked. I really hope some more Sinatra manages to wiggle its way in... it'd be sad to see him fall outside the upper reaches of the artists list, but I guess that's the way it goes when so few critics consider such artists for their lists.
The non-rock songs will be included in the existing AM list. I might also present lists by genres, but it's so difficult to categorize some artist that I am not sure I will ever do that.
Ella Fitzgerald's votes are spread over her huge catalogue, but hopefully at least a couple of her songs will be included.
I'm continually surprised by the short shrift gospel gets on critic's lists when you consider virtually all of them acknowledge the debt of rock and roll to it. (Tons of rock and rollers having honed their singing talents in church.)
