4. Robyn - Robyn
5. Silent Alarm - Bloc Party
6. Babyshambles - Babyshambles
7. Beauty And The Beat - Edan
8. Want Two - Rufus Wainwrait
9. Late Registration - Kanye West
10.Mezmerize - System Of a Down
11.Most Known Unknown - Three G Mafia
12.Chavez Ravine - Ry Cooder
13.Frances The Mute - The Mars Volta

18.Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV - Coheed And Cambria
19.Tender Buttons - Broadcast
20.Multiply - Jamie Lydell

A somewhat strange list that first and foremost shows that Natt og Dag still feel very "urban" and have this desperate need to include a lot of "urban" music in their year-end list.

Wish I'd heard Edan's Beauty and the Beat before doing the AM Pazz and Jop, as it's GREAT.

And why do lists always get criticized for mixing genres, esp. if one of the genres is predominantly black?

Yeah, I see the other debate. The whole thing is ridiculous, of course. It's just weird to me that a publication would be criticized for covering many different genres rather than just 1, is all. The fact is, if the indie zines, etc. choose to ignore other genres, it's their (and their readerships') loss.

How is this list very urban? Aren't there only like 5 urban acts on this list? There are just as many alt/folk artists but no one saw fit to mention that. Give me a break.

black, white, doesn't change the fact that they're all shit albums.
