We have tried most of the sites in Derbyshire with our touring caravan but knew we had found the one for us as soon as we drove into Highfield Farm. So much so that we decided we would have one of the seasonal pitches and have been there for the past six months.
Nothing is too much trouble for the wardens and staff and the location perfect for us and our mad springer spaniel who loves to walk the Tissington Trail. The toilet and shower block is immaculate and all the site kept clean and tidy. The heated indoor swimming was not particularly an asset until one day I had a try I had forgotten how good it was and benefical to aching bones and something I will use regularly. The campsite is now our bolthole away from it all with its wonderful scenery, walks directly off the site and Ashbourne just down the road we are looking forward to many more days in our home from home.
