I have a LOT of time for any list that not only awards Franz Ferdinand a rightful place in the top 5 of the 00s, but also realises that A Certain Trigger is one of the most undervalued masterclasses going. Despite a minor drop-off towards the end it is enthralling, positively bursting at the seams with abundant energy, contains some bona fide indie-pop anthems, marks out Paul Smith as cunning lyricist and as a whole package...well, I can't ever comprehend why it is so often overlooked, I think it's fucking brilliant.
