I probably walked in Tom Moore’s footsteps . Not at the same time of course .
We girls at KGGS used to visit you at KBGS . I often wonder if any lads I knew are still around.
What a man ? What a life ? His final year , his last Christmas must have given him much pleasure.
KBGS will have given him a good start in life and Yorkshire has another they can be proud of .
RIP Sir
Years at KBGS e.g. 1958-1964 (optional) KGGS 1947-1953
If he did I would have thought a statue in Keighley -- as well as Parliament Square in London would be very appropriate.
I reckon he is most famous Keighley person ever after being on every national newspaper front page this morning. And Boris Johnson felt the need to announce his death.
Even Keighley's eminent Lord Asa Briggs and Greenhead's Lord Eric Pickles are a distant way behind in media coverage.
