Re: Spin Top 40 Albums of 2005
The Bloc Party and Franz were pretty average if you ask me. Nobody liked the new Sigur Ros. This was like the only album they put out that I actually liked. Go figure! |

Bit of an odd list, I agree the Franz album is nothing special. |

I see The Go! Team album is in there... Don't you just love it when lists include albums that where released the previous year and are only just getting popular attention? |

Re: Spin Top 40 Albums of 2005
Well, in fairness, The Go! Team album wasn't released in the U.S. until this year, so at least it has some legitimate claim to be on a 2005 list in an American magazine. Not like 2002, when SPIN named WHITE BLOOD CELLS album of the year even though it clearly came out in 2001. |

I remember them putting White Stripes at around #38 or something ridiculiously low like that and they used they reissue of that album to their advantage and placed it at #1. Fools!!!!!!! |

Re: Spin Top 40 Albums of 2005
Henrik, Metacritic has the top ten on this list on its 2005 page as SPIN's top ten, so I assume this is their top 40 as it appears in the magazine. |
