Prince, obviously, with 5 records in the Top 100 and the number 1 with "Sign 'O' The Times". As a curiosity, if you look to the record companys, the number one was not an independent label like Rough Trade, Blast First, Def Jam, Factory or 4AD (labels well represented in this list, by the way). The number 1 was Warner Bros.!!, a major, with 8 records in the Top 100. And as another curiosity the Top 10 of the readers list included "The Queen Is Dead" as number 1, followed by "Closer", "Sign 'O' The Times", "Purple Rain", "Doolittle", "The River", "Sandinista!", "Psychocandy" and "The Joshua Tree" |

Re: Rockdelux best albums of the 80s
Moonbeam, were you somehow involved in the making of this list? Seriously, three Prince albums in the top 20 is really pushing it as far as I'm concerned. And what's that Marvin Gaye album doing in the top 10? Other major complaint is the lack of The Stone Roses or any Talk Talk albums. On the bright side the Pixies and Sonic Youth are well represented and it's nice to see David Bowie make it that high. |

Yes, "Scary Monsters" is a great album usually underrated. |
