Rough Trade best albums of 2004

This list was compiled by the personnel of two Rough Trade shops in London on Landbroke Grove and Covent Garden. I don't know what were the exact criteria, but it's not based on sales or customer's opinions. I'm not sure if it qualifies, but you have lists like Barnes and Nobles', so maybe you will find this one eligible as well. To see the list go to:

I have not included this list from earlier years, but I don't remember why. Have customers' opinions never been included at all?

As far as I know the personnel makes lists on its own, but that's only what I read on some other site that commented on this year's list, and on the Rough Trade site there is no explanation how the lists were compiled.

By the way I've just found a cool page that might be of use to you, Henrik, unless you know it already. It has links to lists of best albums from 2000 to 2004
(including Acclaimed Music) from record stores, magazines, commercial websites, individual critics, fanzines, radio broadcasters and others. There's lots of them so chances are you'll find something you don't have. Here's the link to 2004, you can find the rest from there:
