BLENDER's best of 2004

BLENDER has put out there best of 2004 lists and they are...interesting. The album list starts out predictable with Kanye West at #1 followed by Franz Ferdinand and Loretta Lynn. Usher's album is at #4, though, and Ashlee Simpson made their top 50!!

I FInd a Top 100 Songs of 2004...

to be a bit much. While there naturally are more songs than albums, should be a top 50 (like the albums). Something like the Pazz-N-Jop Poll lists singles and albums past 1,000, but it's really just the top 50 or so that's most desirable.

Blender also has "Yeah!" as the No. 1 song of the year.

More

Well, get used to seeing "Yeah!" at the top of lists. I never really got into it, but not only was it the biggest song of 2004, but it was hailed critically. It will likely end up in the top 3 of 2004 here at AM, if not #1.

I was glad to see "White Houses" make the top 50, but BLENDER like Vanessa. I hope the song can make some other lists.

Meanwhile

This list and the UNCUT list begin the year-end lists for 2004. How can they come out before the year even ends? There are still new albums coming out, some by big-name artists.

I don't know when I will be able to find the BLENDER magazine, so it would be great if someone could post it here. Thanks!

Re: BLENDER's best of 2004

How do I get them to review my debut single, the Boogie Back Rap? It's funky hip hop with rap lyrics that actually teaches everyone how to skate backwards.
You can hear clips at www.cdbaby.com/phatsk8trax and check out articles and stuff at www.skate101.com
