Coue's law of reversed effect. Or is it effort. What you focus on is what you get. Perhaps you feel that you will get it wrong and be judged harshly for your mistakes.

Parapraxes. (Stuttering, forgetting a word, or saying the wrong word) was, 'frued claimed' your unconscious mind exerting pressure on your conscious mind thereby causing the parapraxis.

If you believe this, then perhaps you are afraid you will make a mistake, and say what is really on your mind.

I'll bet you won't though, relax, talk about the weather.

As for can it be treated. Yes it can, but if you take my advice before you spend your hard earned cash you will try some affirmations.

I am articulate.
I am relaxed in company
I can make interesting conversation.

That sort of stuff!! Good luck and remember, even the Welsh don't eat their young.
