nice things folks have been saying:
Caroline Aiken is poised to be a radio 'break-out' artist during the
upcoming year! Her new CD "Are We There Yet, Mama?" is a perfect mix of
superb songwriting, stellar musicianship and vocal stylings. With this CD, Caroline Aiken continues her association with artists like Bonnie Raitt and the Indigo Girls in an exclusive singer/songwriter/performer
collective!

For those of you reading this far,
thanks!!!
I love Atlanta...was born here... earliest memories are here (ice cream truck bell and rich dirt ivy smell. The shade forest that used to be at N Druid Hills and Buford HWY. The temp would drop 20 degrees in the shade) I am going on tour, staying for months at a time on the west coast, but I am not 'leaving', as my child, family, and music compadres are here. Email, phone and address remains the same.
I will remain on the tour peace path (as opposed to a WAR path) and will play (as opposed to WORK) to bring the message of community, peace; to dissolve the invisible wall of ignorance that separates us from hearing each other; to rise above religious differences, to see us collectively on this green and blue ball of self-contained atmosphere, acknowledging the fact that we ALL BREATHE, BLEED and NEED the same.
I have stepped away from the Dogwood festival, to tour around the country and continents, which calls me more and more. After working with the Atlanta Dogwood Festival for 12 years (since the fall of 1992), it is an honor that NARAS (The National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences...and the local Grammy voting branch) gave the festival a free night of music this last April, featuring Shawn Mullins and Sugarland (April 8, 2005)
I began working wtih the festival Fall of 1992, and there was no money for anything but a small stage with a top. The bands played for free, and there wasn't much publicity. Local bands brought thousands of people out in just a few years... Eddie from Eddie's Attic kicked in some funds and help on the second stage, and Shawn Mullins was one of the first to play the acoustic stage.
