Track
Mark, please list all contact information for the park and maintenance supervisor(s). We as members of MKA (ALL members) can phone and write letters(everyday)and I guarante we can get the track paved/finished in record time. Also, if anyone has "friends" in any branch of government,(local, state or federal)contact them and make them aware of our situation. If they can't help, I am sure they can refer you to someone who can help us or make a few pone calls on your/our behalf and get this nightmare taken care of ASAP. Anyone who lives in or around the city of Jackson knows how messed-up things are in this town. The only thing MKA members want is to GO RACIN! Let's all pull togehter and make it happen.. |

If someone can find out if the grant is still open and not been paid, I can make some calls and see if I can get another paving company to come fix it if the parks and wildlife will pay them instead. If it has already been paid out we can hang up racing anytime soon at jackson. Purvis is a very small town compared to jackson and they have 5 or 6 lowboy trailers that can haul big equipment. Sounds like more excuses to me. |

I was approched last night by a 30 year employee of the city of Jackson regarding the track paving and he said if I would let him know if nothing was started by the middle of this week he would go to someone who could make things happen on our behalf. I hope we would not have to go to this extreeme but if nothing gets started by Wensday I will get with Mark and Kevin to try to get something resolved. I know asking for more patience is pushing the limits and I more than anyone want to get back to racing on our track. Politics play a huge role in everything and we are not on the top of the list as far as things going on in the city. Bobby |

Gentlemen: I just wanted to say that I (for one) REALLY appreciate all your efforts in trying to get this going. With us being (somewhat) new residents to this area (been here since Katrina hit), there is no one that we know that could've helped out in this situation, hence the reason that you never heard a peep out of us during these forum postings. But I HAVE been reading the forum posts at least 2x a week, so I've been keeping up nonetheless, and now it looks like something is really taking place. THANKS AGAIN for all your work on this!! See you all at the track! |

well as Kevin stated I have been at the track since about 8 this morning and it got off to a slow start but about 11 the first load of asphalt got there and it took several more calls and 2 supervisors to get the thing smoothed out but when they finally got the point of how smooth the track needed to be it is looking a lot better. I hope to be off early enough tomorrow to go bsck out and spend the day again. |

I think everyone needs to thank Bobby for staying at the track all day today and it looks like he will be there again tomorrow. As we all know the heat at the track this time of year is almost unbearable. Thanks again Bobby. |

Special Thanks to Bobby for being at the track in the heat today. Your knowledge of asphalt has been a blessing to us and the crew there at the track. They know you know what you are talking about. Maybe things will go smooth (sorry I couldn't help myself) and we can get back to during what we love, fellowship with friends and our extendend family, oh yea racing. Well we will let you know how things smooth out (sorry I can't help myself) just to easy.
