It depends at which airport you will be arriving. If it Marco Polo, then your best bet is to catch the public water bus Alilaguna. See www.stb.dircon.co.uk/travel.htm for further information on timetables and prices.
If you arrive at Treviso airport, the journey is much longer. You will need to catch the bus to Piazzale Roma and, from there, catch the vaporetto (water bus) to cross the city to St. Mark's Square.
