Treviso airport operates a free shuttle service to Piazzale Roma; this is the farthest any road vehicle can get to Venice. The drawback is that the shuttle waits for everyone to have cleared customs before it departs. You should allow more than 1 hour from the moment you leave the airport to your arrival in Venice.
From Piazzale Roma you can continue your journey by 'vaporetto', the local water bus. www.actv.it will give you all the information you need on the various vaporetto lines.
