I went to one of the stores I'm thinking about offering some of my extra fish to and asked somebody there about the problems with the boys. He said it was a fungus and told me to use "acriflavin plus". It contains thiazole and methazine and acriflavin and sulfas ans salt and green stuff. Do you think I should still use an antibiotic? Can I use both at the same time?
This morning I saw a young fish, maybe a june or late may kid, acting sick at the bottom of the tank and it looked like part of his tail was gone. I didn't see anybody bothering him and my family wanted to go shopping, so I left him alone, figuring I'd be back pretty soon to check on him. We got back late and I searched the tank as well as I could without reaching in and looking under things, but didn't see any fish that looked like the one I remembered, or anybody acting sick, but there was one a little bigger than I thought the sick one was with a bright orange tail instead of the greyish color I thought I saw who looked like his tail might be more slightly damaged. He was acting fine and I'm pretty sure it's not the same fish. I supose I should look under things and see if I find a body to remove.

thanks again
jc
