Hi Emma -
Welcome! Question - how many gallons is your tank? A five gallon will keep three guppies well, the bigger the tank the more will be comfortable. What is your goal? Just for fun (nothing wrong with that!), breeding? In order to keep baby guppies you should have a box filter with an air pump (regular filters will suck the babies up into them), good plant coverage for them to hide (java moss, water sprite). Ideally you should have two tanks - one for the adults and one for the babies to grow in because the adults have a tendancy to eat the babies. It is a fun hobby once you get started. Jon - the moderator of this site has alot of great advice as reflected in the numerous posts - good luck!
