Hi Jon - Wow I never even thought about velvet, I will look into it and see if the symptoms are similar. I have nothing in the 20 gallon yet I had set it up for the co-mingling. I like your idea of keeping the juv from the male seperate in order to establish more lines. I will add two females into a new 5 gallon though to keep him company - there is a So. Jersey Guppy show coming up in September maybe I will be able to pick up a few females to keep with him.
However since he never showed symptoms does that mean he is a carrier? (I had him for over a month and only the females developed the problem which lasted quite a while before succumbing) Will the new guppies become infected as well?
