Well that's good news anyway - the Jazz was always well received
Still, what is the point of this Scottish pub concept really? Every time I go in they're playing some bland transalantic MOR tosh (Alanis Morrissette last time IIRC) that actively forces people to sit outside.
If it wasn't for the half-hearted tartan curtain and the sight of a couple of unfortunates wearing kilts then you'd be hard pressed to tell any Scottish connection - it looks more like a clumsy Thai restaurant if I'm honest.
The sound quality's lousy too. Why make this big thing about live music and then play such gawdawful anodyne Heart FM rubbish in the background as muzak? Surely the whole venue would benefit from the huge range of innovative sounds and bands in the local area or a selection of sounds more inkeeping with a diverse neighbourhood.
