You do realise that you're not going to be able to censor people coming into the pubs quite so easily don't you?
Please reconsider this daft idea - Brixton's not ready, nor will ever be ready, for live Scottish music every night. The strength of the area is in its multiculturalism and variety - it doesn't need some hokey-cokey notion of Scottishness foisted off onto it.
In recent years this pub's played host to comedians as high profile as Harry Hill, Jeff Green, Mark Thomas and 3 of the last Perrier Award winners, had music from some of the finest names of UK reggae and house/ bands of the stature of the Alabama 3, a ukelele orchestra, live jazz on Sundays and a host of other events, including a belly dancing convention .
And you're going to replace it with a unvarying diet of Scottish music. Surely you can understand why this shows scant sensitivity and is likely to go down like a lead balloon. |
